Hi Cascia, your question is a good one. I think we all have times we need to slow down a little. Balance is a funny thing because it is a moving scale and we get to define what that means for each of us. JoAnne and I began writing the Bur Bur and Friends children's books with the idea that we want to encourage kids and families to get active together. We know that raising healthy kids begins in the home and early childhood education is the key to living healthy. I wrote the article because I am sure there are many parents who can identify with a day like that once in a while. For me, laughter is a good way to take stress off of my shoulders. Thank you for joining in our conversation and reading our blog.

That is just nuts! I thought my schedule was crazy. Don't you think you should slow down a little? I rarely ever take my kids out to get fast food for dinner. I make sure I have time in the evenings to cook them a healthy meal. Sometimes moms get so busy and they don't realize that they are spreading themselves way too thin. If you are busy like that every day you could be harming your health and your children's. Stress can take it's toll on your body and lead to all kinds of health problems. I hope your schedule slows down and you are able to take the time to take care of yourself and your kids.

You're lucky you get to show up at 6pm for a 6pm game! On our teams you need to be there about an hour early to warm up.

Sounds like a typical everyday schedule to me.

Definately comedy! Been there, done that. When I plop down after a whirlwind of "duties", I feel empowered that God has given me exactly what I can handle. Love the story-it's good to know other parents experience the same things.
