National and International book fairs to display Bur Bur and Friends books

Book industry attendees at all of these venues include authors and publishers, booksellers and librarians, art dealers and illustrators, agents and journalists, information brokers and readers

Bur Bur and Friends books will be on display at the upcoming book fairs in 2007:

10/10 - 10-14 Frankfurt Book Fair - The world’s largest marketplace for trading in publishing rights and licenses. International visitors come to Frankfurt from 101 different countries. Practically every form of print media is sought out at this fair, including books and CD-ROM’s, journals, magazines, audio, calendars and postcards.

10/25 - 10/28 American Association of School Libraries Book Fair - The AASL is a division of the American Library Association and convenes once every two years. Over 3,000 librarians are expected to come to Reno this year. The association has planned large blocks of “no conflict” time allowing librarians the time they need to view all the books on the show floor. Books for grades K-12 are appropriate for the school librarians, administrators and media specialists who will attend this important conference. Librarians attending are usually active in their association and national advocates for bettering school libraries. In addition to the professional meetings they attend, the exhibits are vitally important to them, as this may be the only opportunity for them to see, first hand, all the new titles on display. AASL is a must show for any publisher who published books for the K-12 market.

10/18 - 10/19 New York Library Association Book Fair - Founded in 1890 to lead in the development, promotion and improvement of library and information services and the profession of librarianship in order to enhance learning, quality of life, and equal opportunity for all New Yorkers. Today, NYLA is working stronger than ever to further promote its mission in support of libraries and information service.

10/26 - 10/28 California Library Association Book Fair - CLA’s membership is over 2,400 strong. All types of library professionals are involved. People attending the show each year are involved in actual purchasing decisions or have the strong recommendation authority. The conference is a resource to learn about new ideas and products
