That sounds awesome! I didn't think about going to my son's school like that. I stayed home with my 2 year old daughter and watched it all day. She liked the singing but wasn't too interested in the rest. She can say "Obama" pretty well now though and recognizes him by sight. :)

Thanks to all of you for sharing your stories. I am sure we will remember this moment for the rest of our lives and share the experience withothers.

TexMexMom - The kids in my son's school stood too, it was unprompted and great to see!

FlyMiddayDiva - What an amazing experience to have interviewed someone who was a friend of Rosa Parks on this day. We look forward to tuning in to your radio show!

Dolismommy - What a proud moment that must have been for you. Isn't it great when they see their desire to want to be part of the process?

StephieLou - we are proud too. We have a long road ahead, but I believe we are headed down the right track.

AND AMY - THANK YOU for sharing your inauguration journey with us. We think you are terrific!

I was here at home, folding laundry while watching it!! Today is history... And I am so proud that I am and was alive to witness it!!!

You know, I didn't feel much of anything during the whole thing until I saw the crowd and then I saw Obama's face. He looked as if he was glowing... I hope this man can make things wonderful for us! I hope he pulls the troops out of Iraq, helps everyone get back on their feet and I hope he works his hard to be the best he can be...

I was watching it at home by myself.

My son who is in 2nd grade got to watch it in the gym today. According to the teachers and the principal my son is the only student who paid attention and was into it so they moved him to the office with the asst. principal and the school nurse to watch in quiet since he loves it so much. He is currently watching the parade. We had to hurry up and get home when school ended because he does not want to miss anything that happens today. I'm so proud of him for being so involved. When it was election time, he wanted to make sure I voted for Obama (which I did) and wanted to know why I was voting for him, he wanted to know what I believed in...SO SMART FOR HIS AGE!!!

I had a great today. I didn't get to actually watch the inauguration because I was on the road looking for Inauguration parties in my city. I found a few different ones with lots of people. I was able to interview people for my radio show and get their reactions of Obama being sworn in.

I met one old lady who was a friend of Rosa Parks, and who had marched with MLK. I got to talk to her for a minute. That was awesome! To be able to talk to someone who was there marching for civil rights, and the fact that she is here to see the fruits of her labor.

I'm a radio personality for KBMB 103.5 The Bomb. I'm known as "THE FLY MIDDAY DIVA" on air from 10-2pm Monday thru Friday. So, if you're in the Sacramento area... CHECK ME OUT! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my job. I've been in the industry for close to 10 years. Trust me, it has its downsides... but I feel fortunate in the fact that I have a job I don't dread going to every morning.
