Hi Lubna, thanks for sharing your story with us. I believe you will do just great in story telling. It is terrific when we see kids relating to the characters and learning while they are doing it. Good luck to you and thank you for sharing your story. Please don't keep us a secret!

Hi
Shortly I begin to volunteer at a tiny school, in the slum areas of Bangalore. Story books and the concept of story telling is new to this school and will be a new experience for these children as well. Frankly speaking, I am nervous. Wish me luck.
We did do well on our story book collection drive and the books should start rolling soon.

Best,

Very nice and meaningful post. Our daughter is 4 and we make it a nightly ritual to read to her before going to bed.

She loves it!

Hi Anji, what a wonderful idea. It would be interesting to know which languages you taught and what tools you used to do that. Kudos to you!

I've taught many children and teenagers English as a foreign language during the summer months. They definately start the school year better because of it. It's not just about extra lessons, reading or whatever, but about getting back into school mode after a long break.

Hi Jenny, how old is your little one? I know smaller kids have shorter attention spans. In situations like that let them point to what interests them in the pictures and let him read to you. Thank you for reading our blog, we appreciate your visit!
