  • Location: On the field of Midway Stadium Field before the baseball game
  • Teams: Saint Paul Saints Vs> Wichita Wingnuts

What better way to celebrate the Fourth of July that at a baseball game! We think it is terrific and are proud to share that we have been invited to read our baseball book for children, Bur Bur Throws Out the First Pitch before the game out on the field. The Saint Paul Saints organization culture is to ensure a family fun environment at every game. As part of an effort to promote literacy and create a family fun environment, this effort to promote local Minnesota Authors was created in partnership with The Red Balloon Bookshop in St. Paul. This is the biggest game of the year and be sure to stay for the Fireworks right after the game!

Bur Bur and Friends is a cast of multicultural children who help kids cultivate their self esteem by educating them about sports, outdoor exploration and active play through first time learning experiences. These popular must read classic children's books are loved by many!

Additional Information:   Saints to Honor Wounded Warriors July 4

ST. PAUL, MN (June 28, 2010) – When it comes to honoring the brave men and women who protect our freedom both at home and abroad, there is no more deserving group of heroes than those who have been wounded in the line of duty.  The Saints will do just that as they pay tribute to wounded and disabled veterans during a ceremony prior to their July 4th game in support of the Wounded Warrior Project.

The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) aims to raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of severely injured servicemen and women.  They also help severely injured service members aid and assist each other and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of severely injured service members.
