Adrenoleukodystrophy – Visiting With Special Friends at The Ronald McDonald House in Minneapolis » Recently the real life Bur Bur and Friends character, “Mateo” met Kevin and Patrick O’Toole at The Ronald McDonald House in Minneapolis. 9 year old Patrick has ADRENOLEUKODYSTROPHY, (also referred to as ALD), a deadly genetic disorder that affects 1 in 18,000 persons worldwide. It most severely affects boys and men. Patrick’s younger brother also has the disorder. Their father, Kevin, has been working diligently to create awareness for this disease.
